The Asian Foundation for International Scholarship Interchange Kyoto iUP Scholarship was established with the gifts from the Asian Foundation for International Scholarship Interchange to provide financial assistance for Kyoto iUP students.
About Asian Foundation for International Scholarship Interchange
The Asian Foundation for International Scholarship Interchange was established in 1990 with the donation from the late Ms.Shizu Kawaguchi to promote international exchange and friendship between Japan and Asian countries.
Many students studying abroad in Japan, especially those from Asian countries, are facing difficulties continuing their study due to financial reasons. Considering the importance of human resource development for the future of Japan and Asian countries, the Asian Foundation for International Scholarship Interchange has been offering scholarships to these students for more than 30 years.
Since 2008, the foundation has been administering original Japanese proficiency tests "TOPJ" to provide Japanese language learners with more chances to measure their skills and spread their academic and career opportunities in Japan.
