The academic year of Kyoto University is from April 1st to the end of March of the following year. The curriculum adopts a semester system that divides one year into two, the first half and the second half. Both the first and second semesters have 14 class days for each day of the week, a 1-week exam period, and a 1-week feedback class period.

The Course Schedule of the Kyoto iUP

• From the preparatory course to the second year, Japanese language classes, including Japanese cultural experience activities, will be held for Kyoto iUP students during the summer and spring break.

• Depending on the individual student's career plan, students will participate in internships in the summer of the third year and/or take a graduate school entrance examination in the summer of the fourth year.
