- Q6-5. I am confident in my Japanese language proficiency, but do I have to take the Preparatory Course?
- A
All successful applicants must take a placement test to assess their Japanese language proficiency before starting the Preparatory Course in October. Students are divided into beginner to advanced-level courses based on their results. In addition to Japanese language education, the Preparatory Course also offers classes in foundation subjects to compensate for the differences in curricula between students' home countries and Japan. Every student is therefore required to take the Preparatory Course.
